MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940
A Broadway creative team—still reeling from their last flop, where three chorus girls were slain by the “Stage Door Slasher”—gathers at a wealthy backer’s estate for a new audition. The mansion, filled with sliding panels, secret passages, and a maid who seems to be four people at once, becomes the perfect setting for chaos when the Slasher returns.
Trapped by a blizzard, the guests face vanishing bodies, spring-loaded knives, and masked figures lurking behind bookcases. Suspicions fly, and just when all seems lost, the culprit is unmasked—after a whirlwind of comic mayhem and sharp, satiric wit.
